Gingerbread Orange Nuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup treacle
- 2 tbsp brandy
- 6 oz coarse brown sugar
- 1 ¼ cups flour
- ½ oz ground ginger
- Finely grated orange peel
- Candied orange, to taste
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- 2 Stir in treacle, brandy, and brown sugar until warm and combined.
- 3 Remove from heat and mix in flour, ginger, orange peel, and candied orange.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet to form small cakes or nuts.
- 5 Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until set.
