Gingerbread Gem Pans With Molasses
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup sour milk
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- ¾ cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1½ level teaspoon baking soda
- 2 level cups flour
- Nuts and raisins (optional)
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Sift the flour, ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda together.
- 2 Beat the eggs, then mix in the sugar, molasses, and sour milk.
- 3 Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in nuts and raisins if desired.
- 4 Pour batter into greased gem pans and bake until golden and springy to the touch.
