Ginger Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 pound flour
- ½ pound butter
- ¼ pound powdered sugar
- 1 ounce ginger
- 3 egg yolks
- ¼ cup cream
Method
- 1 Rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 2 Add the powdered sugar, ginger, egg yolks, and cream. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3 Shape into small cakes and bake in a slow oven (300°F) until set and lightly browned.
