Ginger Preserved Apples
Ingredients
- Apples, peeled and chopped
- Water
- Green ginger, scraped and tied in a bag
- Sugar (1/2 lb per 1 lb fruit)
Method
- 1 Peel apples, chop them, and place in a pot with water and a bag of scraped green ginger.
- 2 Boil for one hour, then remove the ginger bag.
- 3 Add sugar (half a pound for every pound of fruit) and cook for one hour longer.
