Ginger Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound cornstarch
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1/4 pound white sugar
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • 1/2 ounce ground ginger

Method

  1. 1 Work all ingredients together on a marble slab until the paste has a consistent texture.
  2. 2 Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and flatten them slightly.
  3. 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set. Store in an airtight container.
