Ginger Almond Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb butter
- 3/4 lb granulated sugar
- 1 lb flour
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg white
- sugar for sprinkling
- finely chopped almonds
Method
- 1 Sift baking soda with flour. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in flour mixture until well combined.
- 2 Roll out dough and cut into small round cakes.
- 3 Brush cakes with egg white, then sprinkle with sugar and finely chopped almonds.
- 4 Bake in a slow oven (300°F) until set.
