Ingredients

  • 5 eggs, separated
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • Sugar or jam for serving

Method

  1. 1 Beat egg yolks in a bowl until very light.
  2. 2 Gradually add milk and flour, mixing into a smooth batter.
  3. 3 Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  4. 4 Drop large spoonfuls onto a hot greased griddle.
  5. 5 Serve hot, sprinkled with sugar or spread with jam.
