Garlic Sautéed Collard Greens
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped collard greens (small leaves)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 large garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt-free seasoning
Method
- 1 Remove stems from collards, wash, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place in a colander to drain.
- 2 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add collards and sauté for about 1 minute, turning frequently.
- 3 Add chopped garlic and hot pepper flakes. Cover the skillet to steam until collards reach half their original volume.
- 4 Reduce heat to low and continue steaming, covered, until collards are tender. Season with salt-free seasoning.
