Garlic Sautéed Collard Greens

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped collard greens (small leaves)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt-free seasoning

Method

  1. 1 Remove stems from collards, wash, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place in a colander to drain.
  2. 2 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add collards and sauté for about 1 minute, turning frequently.
  3. 3 Add chopped garlic and hot pepper flakes. Cover the skillet to steam until collards reach half their original volume.
  4. 4 Reduce heat to low and continue steaming, covered, until collards are tender. Season with salt-free seasoning.
