Garlic Lemon Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 broiler/fryer chicken (thawed if frozen)
- 2 tablespoons low-fat Italian dressing or olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 lemon or orange, quartered
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2 Remove necks and giblets from the chicken cavity.
- 3 Place chicken breast side up in a roasting pan.
- 4 Brush skin with Italian dressing and sprinkle with garlic salt.
- 5 Stuff the cavity with quartered lemon or orange.
- 6 Roast for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 7 Let chicken rest for 15 minutes before carving.
