Funnel Cakes
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 3 to 4 cups flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- oil for deep frying
Method
- 1 Beat eggs, sugar, and milk together in a bowl.
- 2 Sift half the flour, salt, and baking powder, then add to the wet mixture.
- 3 Beat until smooth, adding more flour as needed until the batter is thin enough to run through a funnel.
- 4 Heat oil to 375°F in a deep pot.
- 5 Pour batter through a funnel into the hot oil, swirling to create shapes.
- 6 Fry until golden, then serve hot with molasses, jam, or powdered sugar.
