Fudge
Ingredients
- 4 oz chocolate, grated
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 heaping tbsp butter
- ¼ tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Combine chocolate, sugar, milk, butter, and cream of tartar in a saucepan.
- 2 Boil the mixture, stirring constantly, until the syrup hardens when dropped in cold water.
- 3 Remove from heat and immediately stir in vanilla.
- 4 Beat the syrup vigorously for about 90 seconds until it thickens and becomes too stiff to beat.
- 5 Pour into a greased pan and cut into squares before fully cooled.
