Fruit And Nut Christmas Stollen
Ingredients
- 100 g butter, softened
- 15 g candied orange peel
- 30 g sweet almonds, chopped
- 30 g currants
- 30 g raisins
- 60 g granulated sugar
- 240 ml milk
- 2 large eggs
- 280 g all-purpose flour (1/2 lb)
- 280 g all-purpose flour (1/2 lb)
- 10 g baking powder
Method
- 1 Beat the butter until creamy. Stir in candied orange peel, chopped almonds, currants, raisins, and sugar.
- 2 Add milk, eggs, and half the flour to the mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- 3 Combine the remaining flour with baking powder and knead into the dough until smooth.
- 4 Shape the dough into a long loaf and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 1 to 1¼ hours.
