  • sour apples, cored and sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • bacon fat
  • cold pork, sliced thin

Method

  1. 1 Core sour apples and cut into 1/2-inch slices.
  2. 2 Fry apple slices in hot bacon fat until soft and well browned.
  3. 3 Slice cold pork thin and place in the center of a platter.
  4. 4 Arrange the fried apples around the pork in a border and serve.
