Fried Sausages With Pickle Gravy
Ingredients
- sausages
- flour
- bread slices
- mixed pickles
- water
- pepper
- salt
Method
- 1 Prick sausages with a fork and soak in very hot water for 2-3 minutes.
- 2 Roll sausages in flour and fry until brown, being careful not to overcook.
- 3 Remove sausages and fry bread slices in the same pan.
- 4 Place fried bread on a dish, then top with sausages.
- 5 Add a spoonful of flour to the pan drippings, followed by chopped pickles, ¼ cup water, pepper, and salt.
- 6 Boil the gravy mixture and pour it over the sausages.
