Fried Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • Sausage meat
  • Flour for dredging
  • Breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Beaten egg (optional, for binding)

Method

  1. 1 Prick sausage skins with a needle or fork to prevent bursting.
  2. 2 Cover sausages with boiling water and parboil for five minutes. Drain and wipe dry.
  3. 3 Form the sausage meat into small flat cakes.
  4. 4 Dredge cakes in flour or breadcrumbs. If they do not hold together, mix in a little beaten egg.
  5. 5 Fry the cakes in a pan until browned and cooked through.
