Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup flour
  • Salmon or tuna, canned or cooked
  • Curried mincemeat (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Mix equal parts cold mashed potatoes and flour to form a stiff paste.
  2. 2 Roll the dough into circles about 4 inches in diameter.
  3. 3 Place a spoonful of salmon, tuna, or curried mincemeat in the center of each circle.
  4. 4 Season the filling generously, then press the edges of the dough to seal.
  5. 5 Fry the patties in oil until golden brown and heated through.
