Fried Rusk Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 rusks
  • 1 pinch mace or cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Sugar, for dusting

Method

  1. 1 Whisk milk and eggs together in a shallow dish. Stir in mace or cinnamon.
  2. 2 Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3 Soak rusks in the egg mixture briefly, then fry in the butter until golden brown on both sides.
  4. 4 Serve hot, dusted generously with sugar.
