Fried Rusk Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 6 rusks
- 1 pinch mace or cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
- Sugar, for dusting
Method
- 1 Whisk milk and eggs together in a shallow dish. Stir in mace or cinnamon.
- 2 Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- 3 Soak rusks in the egg mixture briefly, then fry in the butter until golden brown on both sides.
- 4 Serve hot, dusted generously with sugar.
