Ingredients

  • raised bread dough
  • oil or fat for frying
  • powdered sugar
  • ground cinnamon

Method

  1. 1 Form raised bread dough into pieces the size of an egg.
  2. 2 Heat oil or fat in a pan until smoking hot.
  3. 3 Drop dough pieces into the hot fat and fry until golden brown, similar to doughnuts.
  4. 4 Drain fritters on a napkin. Serve plain for breakfast or sprinkle with a mix of powdered sugar and ground cinnamon for luncheon.
