Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold meat, chopped fine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mashed potato
  • 1 egg
  • Flour for rolling

Method

  1. 1 Chop the cold meat finely and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Mix mashed potato and egg to form a paste. Roll out on a floured surface and cut into rounds using a saucer.
  3. 3 Place a portion of the meat mixture on one half of each potato round. Fold over and pinch the edges into scallops.
  4. 4 Fry in oil until light brown and cooked through.
