Fried Parmesan Cheese Puffs
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 scant tablespoons heavy cream
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- Puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, beaten
- Chopped vermicelli for coating
- Oil for frying
Method
- 1 Mix Parmesan cheese, cream, cayenne, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
- 2 Cut puff pastry into rounds, spread cheese mixture on half, fold over, and seal edges.
- 3 Dip pastries in beaten egg, then coat with chopped vermicelli.
- 4 Fry in hot oil until golden brown and serve immediately while hot.
