Fried Oysters With Lemon
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons sifted flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- 2 egg whites, well beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Warm water, as needed
- Oysters
- Salt and white pepper or paprika
- Lemon slices
Method
- 1 Mix flour, oil, beaten egg whites, salt, and enough warm water to form a drop batter.
- 2 Sprinkle oysters with salt and white pepper or paprika.
- 3 Dip oysters in batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- 4 Drain and serve on a hot platter with lemon slices.
