Fried Oysters With Cracker Coating
Ingredients
- large oysters, drained
- salt
- pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- pounded crackers (or corn meal for coating)
Method
- 1 Drain the largest oysters and pat them dry.
- 2 Season the oysters with salt and pepper.
- 3 Beat the egg in a shallow bowl.
- 4 Dip each oyster into the beaten egg, then coat in pounded crackers or corn meal.
- 5 Fry in butter until golden brown and cooked through.
