Fried Onion Creamy Sieved Potato Celery Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp butter or vegetable butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 stalk celery
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Peel, wash, and chop the potatoes and celery. Chop the onion.
  2. 2 Fry the onion in butter until nicely browned.
  3. 3 Add potatoes, celery, and water. Boil until vegetables are tender.
  4. 4 Rub the cooked vegetables through a sieve back into the saucepan.
  5. 5 Stir in milk, remaining onion, salt, and pepper. Boil up and serve.
