Fried Meat And Rice Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup cold cooked rice
- 1 cup finely chopped cooked meat
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
- egg for dipping
- breadcrumbs for dipping
Method
- 1 Bring milk to a boil in a saucepan.
- 2 Add rice, chopped meat, butter, salt, and pepper; stir until heated through.
- 3 Remove from heat, stir in well-beaten egg, and mix for one minute.
- 4 Cool the mixture, then form into small flat cakes.
- 5 Dip cakes in egg and breadcrumbs, then fry in oil until brown.
