Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold cooked rice
  • 1 cup finely chopped cooked meat
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • egg for dipping
  • breadcrumbs for dipping

Method

  1. 1 Bring milk to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Add rice, chopped meat, butter, salt, and pepper; stir until heated through.
  3. 3 Remove from heat, stir in well-beaten egg, and mix for one minute.
  4. 4 Cool the mixture, then form into small flat cakes.
