Fried Lentil And Vegetable Cakes
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound flour
- 2 ounces butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 pound cooked lentils and vegetables mixed
- Frying oil
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Method
- 1 Mix flour, butter, salt, and baking powder well together.
- 2 Work in the previously minced cooked lentils and vegetables, mixing thoroughly.
- 3 Roll out the dough about half an inch thick.
- 4 Cut into rounds or fancy shapes using a pastry cutter.
- 5 Fry in boiling oil until quite brown.
