  • rice mixture
  • jam
  • egg
  • bread crumbs
  • hot fat for frying

Method

  1. 1 Place the hot rice mixture into well-greased tartlet tins.
  2. 2 Make a small hole in the middle of each and fill with a little jam.
  3. 3 Cover the jam with more of the rice mixture.
  4. 4 Allow the cakes to cool completely.
  5. 5 Dip the cakes in egg, then coat with bread crumbs.
  6. 6 Fry in hot fat until golden brown.
