Fried Green Corn Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated corn
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter for frying
  • parsley for garnish

Method

  1. 1 Mix grated corn, flour, egg, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. 2 Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. 3 Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot butter, forming oblong cakes.
  4. 4 Fry until brown on both sides.
  5. 5 Serve on a platter garnished with parsley.
