Fried Fruit Beignets With Powdered Sugar
Ingredients
- 2 oz butter
- 4 oz flour
- 1 tbsp brandy
- Pinch of salt
- Water, as needed
- 2 egg whites
- Fruit of choice
- Butter for frying
- Powdered sugar
Method
- 1 Make a creamy paste by cooking butter, flour, brandy, salt, and enough water to combine.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
- 3 Cut fruit into pieces, dip into the batter, and fry in butter until golden brown.
- 4 Drain well, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve immediately.
