Fried Eggs With Caramelized Onions And Nutmeg
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil or sweet butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 onions, sliced into rounds
- Salt to taste
- Grated nutmeg
Method
- 1 Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- 2 Fry onion slices until golden brown.
- 3 Remove onions and set aside. Add more fat if needed.
- 4 Crack eggs into the skillet and cook until whites are set but yolks are still soft.
- 5 Place eggs on a serving dish and top with fried onions.
- 6 Season with salt and grated nutmeg before serving.
