Fried Beef And Potato Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked chopped beef
- 1 cup cold mashed potatoes
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg for dipping
- Bread crumbs for coating
Method
- 1 Heat milk and butter in a frying pan until boiling.
- 2 Add beef, potatoes, salt, and pepper; cook briefly.
- 3 Remove from heat, stir in beaten egg, and let cool until stiff.
- 4 Shape mixture into small flat cakes, dip in egg, then coat with bread crumbs.
- 5 Fry in hot fat for three minutes until golden.
