Fresh Ground Mustard
Ingredients
- 1 cup mustard flour
- 1 cup vinegar, white wine, or cold water
- 1 tbsp scraped horseradish
- 1 tsp salt (optional)
Method
- 1 Boil the scraped horseradish in the vinegar, wine, or water.
- 2 Place mustard flour in a mortar and gradually add the warm liquid.
- 3 Rub the mixture vigorously for at least ten minutes until perfectly smooth.
- 4 Stir in salt if desired, then transfer to a stone jar and seal tightly.
