Fresh Ginger Water Ice
Ingredients
- 6 ounces fresh ginger root
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
- 1 Grind 4 ounces of ginger through a meat grinder and finely chop the remaining 2 ounces.
- 2 Boil sugar and water together for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and ground ginger.
- 3 Let the mixture cool completely, then stir in the chopped ginger bits.
- 4 Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
- 5 Let the ice stand for 2 hours after freezing to improve texture before serving.
