Fresh Fruit Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, or currants
- 1 pint water
- Sugar to taste
- Water to taste
- Cracked ice for serving
Method
- 1 Cook the fruit with water in a pot until well softened.
- 2 Strain the mixture and press out the juice through a heavy cloth.
- 3 Let the juice cool completely.
- 4 Sweeten and dilute with water to taste.
- 5 Serve in glasses filled with cracked ice.
