Fresh Fruit Sandwiches

  • bread slices
  • butter
  • sliced strawberries, dusted with powdered sugar
  • raspberries
  • large blackberries, cut in halves
  • peaches, finely chopped
  • apple, seasoned with salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice
  • sliced bananas with a dash of lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Butter the bread slices.
  2. 2 Choose your filling: strawberries with powdered sugar, raspberries, halved blackberries, chopped peaches, apple with salt/pepper/olive oil/lemon, or bananas with lemon juice.
  3. 3 Place the chosen fruit filling between the buttered bread layers to form sandwiches.
  4. 4 Serve immediately or wrap in a damp napkin for up to one hour.
