Four Ingredient Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 oz all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 4 oz granulated sugar
  • 4 oz unsalted butter

Method

  1. 1 Weigh four fresh eggs. Weigh out equal amounts of sifted flour, sugar, and softened butter.
  2. 2 In an earthenware dish, combine the eggs, flour, sugar, and butter. Beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
  3. 3 Let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. 4 Pour the mixture into a buttered mold or loaf pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until set.
  5. 5 Turn out onto a plate. Serve warm or cold, optionally with fresh fruit.
