Four Ingredient Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 4 oz all-purpose flour, sifted
- 4 oz granulated sugar
- 4 oz unsalted butter
Method
- 1 Weigh four fresh eggs. Weigh out equal amounts of sifted flour, sugar, and softened butter.
- 2 In an earthenware dish, combine the eggs, flour, sugar, and butter. Beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
- 3 Let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 4 Pour the mixture into a buttered mold or loaf pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until set.
- 5 Turn out onto a plate. Serve warm or cold, optionally with fresh fruit.
