Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g finest wheat flour
  • 227 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 heaping tsp baking powder

Method

  1. 1 In a cool place, beat butter and flour until very fluffy.
  2. 2 While stirring constantly, add sugar and eggs one at a time, alternating with sugar.
  3. 3 Fold in lemon zest and baking powder.
  4. 4 Quickly pour batter into a buttered pan and place immediately in the oven.
  5. 5 Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
