Fluffy Baked Apple Custard With Nutmeg
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 pint rich milk
- Apples or peaches, peeled and thinly sliced
- Flour, for thickening batter
- ½ cup melted butter
- Sugar, butter, and nutmeg, for serving
Method
- 1 Beat six eggs until very light and fluffy.
- 2 Stir in one pint of rich milk and enough flour to create a thick batter.
- 3 Fold in half a cup of melted butter and thinly sliced apples or peaches.
- 4 Pour the mixture into a deep baking dish.
- 5 Bake until set and golden brown.
- 6 Serve warm with sugar, butter, and grated nutmeg.
