Flour-Thickened Baked Custard Pie
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 pint milk
- 2 eggs
Method
- 1 Combine milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- 2 Mix flour with a small amount of cold milk to create a smooth paste.
- 3 Pour the flour mixture into the boiling milk, stirring briskly until thickened.
- 4 Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in well-beaten eggs.
- 5 Pour into a greased pie dish and bake for 30 minutes.
