Fish Stew With Vegetables And Anchovy

Ingredients

  • Any sort of fish
  • 1 stick celery, chopped
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 anchovy, cleaned, boned, and scaled
  • 4 almonds, shredded
  • 3 capers
  • 2 mushrooms
  • 1 oz butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Hot water
  • Tomato sauce (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Chop celery, carrot, and onion. Pound anchovy, almonds, capers, and mushrooms into a paste.
  2. 2 Fry the vegetable and anchovy mixture in butter with salt and pepper for a few minutes.
  3. 3 Add hot water and flour, then boil gently for 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Add the fish and cook until done. Serve with optional tomato sauce.
