  • Salmon fillet or steak
  • Spring water (enough to cover fish)
  • Salt

Method

  1. 1 Place a fish kettle on the stove and fill with enough spring water to completely cover the salmon.
  2. 2 Bring the water to a boil and add a handful of salt, skimming off any scum that rises.
  3. 3 Add the well-washed salmon to the boiling water.
  4. 4 Reduce heat to maintain a gentle boil, cooking for approximately 15 minutes per pound depending on thickness.
