Fig Cranberry Lattice Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb figs
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 pint cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • pastry shell
  • strips of pastry for lattice

Method

  1. 1 Chop figs and cook in water until tender.
  2. 2 Add cranberries and cook until they pop.
  3. 3 Mix sugar and flour, then stir into the fruit mixture. Let boil.
  4. 4 Remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice.
  5. 5 Pour into a pastry shell and top with a lattice of pastry strips.
  6. 6 Bake until the pastry is browned.
