Fig Cranberry Lattice Pie
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb figs
- 1 pint water
- 1 pint cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- pastry shell
- strips of pastry for lattice
Method
- 1 Chop figs and cook in water until tender.
- 2 Add cranberries and cook until they pop.
- 3 Mix sugar and flour, then stir into the fruit mixture. Let boil.
- 4 Remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice.
- 5 Pour into a pastry shell and top with a lattice of pastry strips.
- 6 Bake until the pastry is browned.
