Fig Butter Sandwich Rolls
Ingredients
- 12 figs
- 1 loaf white bread
- Butter, for spreading
Method
- 1 Split the figs, remove skins, and mash the flesh into a smooth paste.
- 2 Butter the bread slices before cutting them into thin slices and removing crusts.
- 3 Spread the fig paste thickly over the buttered bread slices.
- 4 Roll the bread tightly, press briefly to seal, and wrap in tissue paper or ribbon.
