Fennel Biskets
Ingredients
- 1 lb granulated sugar
- 1 lb all-purpose flour
- 6 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 oz fennel seeds, finely ground
- Butter for greasing
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 425°F. Butter small ring-shaped molds (bisket tins) very thinly.
- 2 Combine sugar, flour, eggs, and extra yolks in a bowl. Beat vigorously for one full hour until light and airy.
- 3 Sprinkle ground fennel seeds into the bottom of each prepared mold.
- 4 Fill molds with batter and bake at 425°F until golden brown and set.
