Egg Yolk Enriched Bechamel Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- ½ cup chicken stock
- ½ cup cream
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 Stir in flour, salt, and pepper to form a roux.
- 3 Whisk in chicken stock and cream until smooth.
- 4 Add beaten egg yolk and cook over hot water for 5 minutes.
