Egg White Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 quarts heavy cream
- 1 pound granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg whites
Method
- 1 Combine the cream, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 2 Place the mixture in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill thoroughly.
- 3 Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
- 4 Gently fold the stiff egg whites into the chilled cream mixture.
- 5 Continue freezing for approximately 20 minutes or until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
