Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, mashed
  • 1/2 tsp beef extract
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans or peanuts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lump of butter
  • Fresh crackers and thin bread slices for serving

Method

  1. 1 Mash the hard-boiled eggs very finely in a bowl.
  2. 2 Dissolve the beef extract in hot water, then add to the eggs along with the butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3 Stir in the mayonnaise and chopped nuts until well combined.
