Egg And Onion Sauce On Toast
Ingredients
- 4-5 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp grated onion
- 1 tsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices buttered toast
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add grated onion and cook briefly without browning.
- 2 Stir in flour and milk, cooking until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
- 3 Season with salt and pepper, then add sliced hard-boiled eggs and heat through.
- 4 Pour the egg mixture over buttered toast slices and serve immediately.
