Dry Skillet Flour Tortillas
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
Method
- 1 In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 2 Add oil and mix until crumbly.
- 3 Add 1/2 cup water, then 1 tablespoon at a time until mixture forms a loose crumbly ball.
- 4 Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead 6 to 8 times until smooth.
- 5 Divide into 10 balls and roll each into an 8-inch circle.
- 6 Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat. Cook tortillas until light brown spots appear, then flip and cook the other side.
