Double Layer Fudge With Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 squares Baker's Chocolate
  • ½ cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnut meats, chopped
  • 1 walnut-sized piece of butter

Method

  1. 1 In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, chocolate, cream, and butter. Boil for seven minutes.
  2. 2 Remove from heat and beat the mixture until thick, then spread it into a buttered tin to cool.
  3. 3 In a separate saucepan, combine brown sugar, cream, vanilla, and the walnut-sized butter. Boil for ten minutes.
  4. 4 Beat the second mixture and pour it over the cooled first layer.
  5. 5 Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares.
