Double Breaded Fried Oysters
Ingredients
- large oysters
- beaten egg
- dried bread-crumbs
- salt
- pepper
- deep fat for frying
Method
- 1 Drain large oysters on a cloth until dry.
- 2 Dip oysters in beaten egg, then coat in dried bread-crumbs. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 3 Let oysters sit for two hours. Dip them in egg and crumbs a second time.
- 4 Fry in deep fat until brown. Drain on brown paper and serve immediately.
